Yes, it can be used for sound reduction, crack isolation, waterproofing and vapor management. However, when using Mapeguard 2 for vapor management, do not use MAPEI SM Primer or MAPEI SM Primer Fast; instead, use MAPEI HM Primer. If there are seams, the use of Mapetape BB tape is also necessary for waterproofing and vapor management.

1. Do not use on exterior floors with drainage of less than 1/4" per foot.
2. Do not use on shower floors or in submerged applications or floors subject to standing water.

• Red List is for Living Building Challenge projects; we provide project-specific Red List letters upon request.

MAPEI Flexcolor CQ is a ready-to-use grout that dries harder than cement-based grout. The residue that is left behind, when not properly removed during the grouting process, can appear as a clear film that can become tacky. This residue can easily be removed using MAPEI’s UltraCare Heavy-Duty Stone, Tile & Grout Cleaner.
