MAPEI Products Specified for Wall Feature at Fast Food Franchise

Special tiling products from MAPEI were used in the installation of +-75 m² of new tiles at a fast food franchise in Woodmead. Keraflex S1 Express Grey was specified and used to install the large format tiles on the outside walls to create a monolithic, seamless finish to the wall feature. Keraflex S1 Express is a high-performance, rapid-setting, deformable S1 cementitious adhesive with extended open time for the installation of ceramic, porcelain, stone tiles and mosaics. Keraflex S1 Express is a grey or white powder composed of a blend of special cements, selectively graded aggregates, synthetic resins and accelerators, which after mixing, has a pot life of 60 minutes and open time of 30 minutes.

Ultracolor Plus (black) was used to grout the tiled walls after only 4 hours. Ultracolor Plus is a high-performance, anti-efflorescence, quick-setting and drying polymer-modified mortar with water-repellent DropEffect® and mould resistant BioBlock® technology for grouting joints from 2 to 20 mm wide.
