MAPEI South Africa attended the annual Concrete Boat race on 12 October where university students were tasked to design and build a concrete boat and race it over a specified course.
A great day was enjoyed by members , their families and students at the annual Concrete Boat Race Day. Held at the East Rand Speedboat Club on Rynfield Dam, Benoni, it was perfect weather to test out the many ‘concrete’ crafts that had been constructed by students from local universities. This year’s event was held in support of the ‘Teddy Bear Foundation’ an organisation committed to providing abused children an efficient and professional service that effectively promotes their healing and stops any further abuse.
Well done to the 3 MAPEI sponsored teams and thanks to all our staff who joined us for us this fun-filled day!
