On Friday 30 August, MAPEI hosted the 2019 Egg Protection Device Competition on behalf of Concrete Society of Southern Africa.
Students from the University of Johannesburg were tasked to design a concrete bridge that would protect an egg.
The students were challenged in terms of their knowledge of concrete technology and engineering design. Students eagerly watched and counted the number of blows each device would accommodate before the egg was cracked or broken.
Congrats to the winning teams!
