MAPEI Technical Institute (MTI)—Product-based Knowledge and Application Training

The MAPEI Technical Institute (MTI) provides the highest-quality, basic product knowledge with demonstrations and hands-on training to architects, contractors, installers and distributors at the following locations in the USA: Deerfield Beach (FL), San Bernardino (CA), Garland (TX), Dalton (GA), West Chicago (IL) and Swedesboro (NJ).

Our Technical Department and Sales Team work together to ensure that the seminars provide attendees with the latest and greatest product solutions, required for today’s more challenging construction projects.

To maintain a high level of consistency with regard to knowledge and training methods, all of the U.S.-based FCIS and TSIS seminars are carried out by Sam Biondo, National Technical Presenter, and his team of technical experts. Whether customers receive training on moisture mitigation, proper surface preparation, specialty wood installations or waterproofing – the information and training methods presented are current, consistent and clear in whichever city the training takes place. Throughout the United States, trainings are also provided by special request either at DFB or closer to the customer’s home base. Technical Field Consultants that service specific regions routinely travel to distributors, retailers and factories in order to meet targeted application needs. At all trainings held in DFB, attendees are provided an opportunity to tour the corporate headquarters, meet staff and management, and get a closer look at the state-of-the-art Research and Development facilities and color laboratory, which houses the same standardized equipment as in all of MAPEI Americas' 14 plants.

MAPEI offers 2 different types of training classes in the USA for 2016:
-Tile & Stone Installation Systems (TSIS) and UltraCare™ Stone, Tile & Grout Care Solutions (2 Day Class)
  -Basic product knowledge with demonstrations and hands-on training that covers surface preparation; moisture mitigation; waterproofing; crack isolation; tile/stone installation; grouting products; and sealers, finishes and cleaners for stone, tile and grout
 -Floor Covering Installations Systems (FCIS) and Ultracoat™ wood-floor systems (1 Day Class)
  -Basic product knowledge with demonstrations and hands-on training that covers surface preparation; moisture mitigation; adhesives for wood flooring, as well as Ultracoat products for wood-floor surface preparation, base coats, finishes and maintenance
 
The cost to attend U.S. trainings is $300. MAPEI covers the cost of 2 nights’ hotel stay, lunches and dinner.
