In January 2023, MAPEI’s Dalton and Calhoun locations in Georgia formed Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) committees to comply with requirements of ISO 45001: Occupational Health and Safety. The mission statement of these committees is to bring workers and management together in a non-adversarial, cooperative effort to promote safety and health in their respective workplaces.
The committees consist of volunteer representatives from each department (Production, Quality Control, Research & Development, Maintenance and Warehouse). The volunteer commitment is for one year of service on the committee, with an option to roll off the committee after completion.
