Isdemir is Turkey’s third oldest integrated iron and steel plant by its establishment date and today, it’s the country’s only integrated flat steel producer that is capable of producing both flat and long products. Isdemir Port was established in the Iskenderun Bay and has become the largest bulk solid and general cargo port in the Mediterranean. The Port has an area secured completely with a fence in accordance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code. MAPEI was preffered for the renovation and strengthening works within the scope of the project. Repairing work of the reinforced concrete elements started with the cleaning of concrete and corroded rebars which was then followed by the application of MAPEFER 1K. Repairs from the surface to the rebar level was made by using thixotropic paste MAPEGROUT THIXOTROPIC E. By using MAPEFIX VE SF, additional rebars was fixed to the concrete elements where the rebar section was not sufficient to bear the loads after the cleaning. |
