Quick-setting, fibre-reinforced, compensated-shrinkage,
thixotropic cementitious mortar for repairing and smoothing concrete, applied
in various thicknesses of from 3 to 40 mm in a single layer.
TECHNICAL DATA:
PLANITOP SMOOTH & REPAIR R4 is structural R4-class, rapid-setting, shrinkage compensated, thixotropic, fibre-reinforced, cementitious mortar, applied in a single layer from 3 to 40 mm thick, for repairing and smoothing concrete. It is recommended for quick repairs to areas of deteriorated concrete, the edges of beams, pillars, buffer walls and cornices and the front edges of balconies.
When mixed with 4.75-5.25 litres of water, PLANITOP SMOOTH & REPAIR R4 forms a mortar with a thixotropic consistency which is easy to apply even on vertical surfaces without using fixed formwork. Apply the product with a trowel or spatula on solid substrates with no loose parts and with a rough surface and which have been saturated beforehand with water. With PLANITOP SMOOTH & REPAIR R4 smoothing layers and repairs from 3 to 40 mm thick may be applied in a single layer.
PLANITOP SMOOTH & REPAIR R4 complies with the principles defined in EN 1504-9 (“Products and systems for protecting and repairing concrete structures: definitions, requirements, quality control and conformity assessment. General principles for the use of products and systems”) and the minimum requirements of EN 1504-3 (“Structural and nonstructural repairs”) for structural R4-class mortars and the requirements of EN 1504-2 coating (C) according to principles MC and IR (“Concrete surface protection systems”). It’s characterised by its very low emission of volatile organic compounds (VOC) - EMICODE EC1 Plus.
Consumption: approximately 17 kg/m2 per cm of thickness.
