MAPEDRILL BHV/R

MAPEDRILL BHV/R

Organic biodegradable high viscosity polymer in powder form

Where to use
Mapedrill BHV/R when mixed with water, gives a light, high viscosity drilling slurry which, due to its pseudo-plasticity characteristic, is able to increase the efficient transportation of the excavated material, and consequently improving hole cleanliness.
Mapedrill BHV/R is particularly suitable in jobs where salt water is employed for preparing the drilling fluid. It can be used with brackish water without altering the fluidic properties. The product is an alternative to bentonite.
Mapedrill BHV/R is also suitable for use in the excavation of piles and diaphragm walls. Especially in highly permeable soils where the utilisation of an high viscosity fluid is necessary.

Consumption
The product dosage depends on the required drilling slurry fluidity. It is advisable to use from 4 to 6 kg for each m3 of water. This will give a slurry with a viscosity, using a Marsh cone (Ø 4.7 mm), of between 50 and 60 seconds.
In the case of high permeable soils, not consolidated (as in sands or gravels), or in presence of fine fractions, it is advisable to reduce the dosage to 3-4 kg for each m3 of water (Marsh Cone viscosity from 30 to 40 seconds). Our technical laboratory is at our customers complete disposal for evaluating the right Mapedrill BHV/R dosage according to the drilling soil characteristics.
Please contact our Underground Technology Team technical service for verifying and eventually perfecting the using and dosing of the polymer Mapedrill BHV/R, always considering the application conditions.

Packaging
Mapedrill BHV/R is available in 25 kg multi-layered paper bags with internal padding.
