The traditional floor slab calls for having tools such as steel connectors and electro-welded mesh. With Mapei's revolutionary product, Planitop HPC Floor, concrete repair and strengthening floor slabs is now made easy without the need for these tools yet, at the same time, able to obtain high strength and fast solution.
Planitop HPC Floor is a one-component, ultra high strength, highly ductile, highly fluid, fibre-reinforced, compensated shrinkage cementitious mortar for strengthening the external face of floor slabs.
When Planitop HPC Floor is mixed with water, it forms a fluid mortar suitable for casting into formwork in layers from 1 to 4 cm thick without segregating, and without the need for electro-welded reinforcing mesh.
To allow expansion in the open air, Mapecure SRA may be added, a special admixture which has the capacity to reduce plastic and hydraulic shrinkage that ensures better curing of mortar. The admixture can reduce the water evaporation and encourages the development of the hydration process. Mapecure SRA acts as an internal curing agent which reduces final shrinkage by 20% - 50%, which means lower risk of cracking.
Very high flexural and compressive strength
Excellent adhesion to old concrete and to reinforcement rods
High resistance to cyclical loads
Impermeable to water
High resistance to wear due to abrasion impact
Complies with EN 1504-9, EN 1504-3 and EN 1504-6 standards
Repairing and strengthening of reinforced concrete and horizontal structures where high-performance, free-flowing mortar is required to integrate thick layers or fill complex areas. For instance, strengthening the extrados of floor beams, repairing industrial floors, concrete floors of roads, airports and viaducts, and seismic upgrading of elements subjected to high stresses.
