Tunnelling in Rock (5th Edition)

Mapei is proud to be the main sponsor of the Tunnelling in Rock (5th Edition), held from November 27-29, 2024, Thailand.

The event is organized by the Underground and Tunnelling Group (TUTG) and The Engineering Institute of Thailand (EIT) under the patronage of H.M. the King, in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering, University of Phayao.

This prestigious gathering brings together experts, consultants, and professionals to engage in open discussions, exchange experiences, and participate in a site visit to the Den Chai-Chiang Rai-Chiang Khong double-track railway project. Spanning 323.1 km, this significant initiative by the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) is set to be operational by 2028.

The seminar provided valuable insights into the latest advancements in rock tunnelling technology, highlighting its pivotal role in shaping Thailand’s future infrastructure through this critical 5-year project.
