Mapei proudly sponsored and participated in the exhibition, "Tunnelling in Soft Ground Training, 5th Edition, and Site Visit for MWA (G-TN-9D)" held in Bangkok, Thailand from July 12th to 14th, 2023.
The event aimed to equip engineers with the necessary knowledge, understanding, and practical application of design principles in the field of tunneling. It also provided valuable insights into the construction process of tunnels and related components.
The target audience for the event included Design Engineers, Field Engineers, Project Control and Management Engineers.
The lectures covered a wide range of topics, including the basics of tunnels in soft soil, conventional tunneling and TBM tunneling, geotechnical survey and reporting, the impact of soil movement on neighboring structures during underground tunnel construction, underground tunnel design, installation and measurement of tunnel work, design and construction of related structures, planning and implementation of tunnel construction, and case studies and experiences from tunnel construction projects. Additionally, participants had the opportunity to visit an ongoing underground tunnel construction project, MWA (G-TN-9D) in Bangkok.
At the event, Mapei showcased a booth featuring Underground Technology products and systems, which generated significant interest among the visitors.
