Mapei Far East Safety Day 2022

Mapei Far East in Singapore celebrated our second year of Safety Day on 28 April 2022.

The event took place in the morning. It started off with the opening safety message from the General Manager of Mapei Singapore, Shivram Bagade, and the Director of Asia Pacific, Marcel Smit. The message from the management – we continue to learn and respond to secure the health and safety of our employees, valued stake holders and the communities in which we do the business. Every accident is a notice that something is wrong with men, methods, or material — investigate — then act. We must enroot the safety awareness in our thoughts and behaviour. We shall work relentlessly to make Mapei Far East a safe place.

Invited guest speaker, HSE Manager for Mapei Asia Pacific, Naveen, shared on the Mapei Asia Pacific HSE updates, near miss reporting and housekeeping in the company.

Followed by the presentation on Safety Driving Talk includes safe driving requirements, Singapore speed limits, following of traffic rules when exiting our office compound. Followed by the presentation on Cyber Security includes major cyber events in 2021, Mapei’s approach to cyber security’s solutions and services and examples of cyber-attack.

Quizzes were conducted after each of the segments. The fastest person with all the correct answers  for each segments won themselves shopping vouchers.

The event ended with Safety live streaming tour of our production plant and warehouse, followed by photo taking and healthy lunch provided for all staff.
