Application	This is a new-build home located in Mojácar, Almería, an area characterized by a Mediterranean climate with mild winters with nighttime temperatures dropping to +6ºC and very hot summers that can reach +35ºC. The External Thermal Insulation Composite System (ETICS) chosen for this project must respond to local stationary thermal variations and, in addition, must adapt to the design of the house. Description of the interventions and the application process: The intervention process began with the preparation of the substrate, ensuring excellent planimetry of the facing to allow for the correct application of the ETICS. Once the regularity and integrity of the substrate had been guaranteed, the coarse-grained cementitious adhesive Mapetherm AR1GG was applied, specially formulated to ensure optimum adhesion when installing the Mapetherm EPS 6 expanded polystyrene insulation panels, using the bead and dab application technique that guarantees the correct distribution of the adhesive on the surface of the panel and the substrate, in addition to improving the thermal performance of the system. Once the thermal insulation panels were glued in place, the Mapetherm Ejot Pro TKP and Mapetherm Profil profiles were installed, a fundamental phase for structuring the system, to make way for the application of the reinforced plaster made up of two coats of Mapetherm AR1 GG cementitious mortar and Mapetherm Net mesh, embedded in the mortar, a technique that provides a robust protective base for the thermal insulation panels and support for the application of the final finish. The next step was the application of Quarzolite Base Coat, an acrylic primer specially designed to improve the adhesion of the final coating, optimising thermal protection and guaranteeing the durability of the finish. Finally, the 1.2 mm White Quarzolite Tonachino acrylic coating was applied, providing a high-quality aesthetic finish, increasing resistance to inclement weather and improving the energy efficiency of the facade. This ETICS thermal insulation system with Mapei products provides a comprehensive solution that optimizes energy efficiency, improves thermal comfort and extends the life of the facade.
