MAPETHERM FLEX RP

MAPETHERM FLEX RP

Cement-free, fibre-reinforced, lightweight, elastic skimming paste and base coat resistant to impact loads and attack from mould and algae.

MAPETHERM FLEX RP is an elastic skimming base coat highly resistant to impact loads.

This product represents Mapei’s proposal for maintenance work on thermal insulation systems degraded by time and/or bad weather and for creating new thermal insulation systems with extremely high resistance and durability.

In specific tested, validated cycles, Mapetherm Flex RP achieved 5 to 30 times higher resistance to impact loads compared with traditional thermal insulation systems, shielding facades from hail and extreme weather conditions.

MAPETHERM FLEX RP is the result of a combination of technologies developed in the Mapei laboratories, making it a unique and highly innovative product:

  • BioBlock® technology to protect surfaces from the aggression of mould and algae, increasingly common phenomena caused also by the effects of climate change.
  • Fast Track Ready technology to indicate products designed to considerably reduce application times; no need to wait the curing period typically associated with cementitious skimming products.
  • Ultralite technology to obtain a “lightweight” product with higher yield and improved workability during application. The high percentage of regenerated material is testimony to Mapei’s capacity and commitment to combining technological efficiency with environmental sustainability.

To cover all possible application conditions MAPETHERM FLEX RP is available in two different grain sizes: 0.5 mm and 1.5 mm.

ADVANTAGES:

  • High elasticity
  • High impact strength
  • High bond strength
  • High protection against algae and mould
  • Tested and certified performance properties
  • Rapid application
  • Colourable using the ColorMap® automatic tinting system
