Our background
It was 1937 when Rodolfo Squinzi founded Mapei - Materiali Ausiliari Per l'Edilizia e l'Industria (Auxiliary Materials for Building and Industry) in the outskirts of Milan – setting off on a path that would eventually make us a multinational company, champions of Italian excellence all over the world. The facts and figures now speak for themselves: three generations of entrepreneurs, business. Manufacturing operations on five continents and more than twenty product lines to cater for everything the building industry needs.
