For the execution of
[1], a concrete complying with provisions and prescriptions of EN
206:2016 must be used.
This concrete element, as described in prospectus 1 of EN 206 , with respect to the environmental exposure classes, can be identified as
[2].
In accordance with current regulations, the concrete must be produced in an
automated batching plant. The certification body will certify the production control (FPC) of the industrial plant
on the basis of a report from the inspection body.
The structure will be realized Casting concrete with the the followings characteristics At the time of pouring:
- Entrained Air content not less than 4%.
- Use of aggregates with adequate resistance to freezing and thawing cycles in
accordance with EN 12620.
- Use of a sulphate resistant cement
- Compressive strength class not lower than span [3].
- [4]
- The mix design will be prepared combining at least three different class of aggregates complying with EN 12620.
The maximum diameter of the aggregates will be included in the range Dlower ≥
[5A] and Dupper ≤ [5B].
- The chloride content of the concrete, expressed as percentage of chloride ions by the weight of cement,
shall not exceed the value of the class [6].
To ensure the specified consistence and a proper workability retention of the concrete over time, complying with the
water/cement ratio established in the environmental exposure class, an acrylic-based liquid superplasticizer
admixture, free of formaldehyde and chlorides, will be used in accordance with Prospectus 3. 1 and 3.2 of the EN
934-2 standard and the ASTM C494 standard, capable of guaranteeing high quality and durability concretes (Type
[7] by
MAPEI S.p.A. or similar depending on the ambient temperatures, the types of raw
materials to be used, the
characteristics of the casting and the logistical-operational conditions).
In order to guarantee adequate stability and homogeneity of the mix, a viscosity modifier
agent lass="outputText">VISCOFLUID SCC/10 complying with table 13 of EN934-2 and manufactured by MAPEI S.p.A..
The dosage will be figure out the ambient temperatures, types of raw materials to be used,
casting characteristics and logistical-operational conditions).
In accordance with the recomended limiting values of the exposure class selected, a liquid air entrainer admixture such as MAPEAIR AE 10, complyng with the table 5 of EN 934-2, will be used in a dosage included between 0,4% and 0,8% bwc.
A minimum wet curing period of the concrete must be guaranteed as described in good practice guidelines.
