Mapei Australia has officially launched the CUBE system, including the locally developed Mapecube 70, on the Australian market. Introduced during a dedicated industry event in mid-March, the Mapecube range of concrete admixtures enables the production of Low Carbon Concrete (LCC) by reducing clinker content and incorporating higher levels of Supplementary Cementitious Materials (SCMs). These innovative liquid admixtures improve concrete durability while lowering CO₂ emissions. The launch highlights Mapei’s commitment to supporting Australia’s transition toward climate-neutral construction by 2050.

The Mapecube range of concrete admixtures, part of the CUBE system, was officially launched on the Australian market in mid-March. The product line was introduced at an exclusive industry event organised by Mapei Australia and attended by industry professionals.
Admixtures from the Mapecube line make it possible to reduce the amount of clinker and increase the amount of Supplementary Cementitious Materials (SCMs) in concrete mixes to produce Low Carbon Concrete (LCC) with performance equal to or better than traditional Portland cement-based concrete.
The Mapecube range of concrete admixtures was officially launched on the Australian market in mid-March.
Mapecube liquid admixtures promote concrete strength development at all ages (early strength in 24 hours, medium to late strength in seven days and late strength in 28 days) and allow concrete producers to use higher levels of alternative binders (fly ash, blast furnace slag, etc.) while maintaining or improving the durability of the concrete. These products reduce carbon dioxide emissions associated with concrete production while also saving costs. A global product line, Mapecube, meets the industry demand for stronger, durable, low-carbon concrete that at the same time maintains construction schedules.
Gianluca Bianchin, Mapei Corporate Product Manager - Admixtures for low-carbon concrete, Marco De Santis, General Manager of Mapei Australia, and Davide Carpenito, Product Manager for Cement Addtitives at Mapei Australia, attended the launch event.
Proudly designed and developed at Mapei’s state-of-the-art plant in Wacol, Brisbane, the Mapecube 70 is a local formulation, while the Mapecube 60 and 60W are part of the highly credible global Mapei product range.
“We are excited and proud to launch the Mapecube into the Australian market as an industry-first, innovative, and commercially viable solution that actively supports the industry in upholding high standards while reducing its climate impact,” said Marco De Santis, Mapei Australia General Manager.
“This innovation is an important contribution to Australia’s cement and concrete industry’s quest for climate neutrality as we transition to net zero by 2050.”  De Santis further commented.
Marco De Santis, General Manager of Mapei Australia, held a speech highlighting the innovative approach under the CUBE system: it supports concrete manufacturers in upholding high standards while reducing climate impact.
