Application steps

Cementitious substrate

Self-adhesive butyl tape
Cut the tape to the length required, remove the protective backing and apply the tape making sure it adheres firmly to the substrate.

One-component waterproofing cementitious mortar MONOLASTIC - 1st coat
Apply the product with a notched trowel.

4 Fibre glass reinforcing mesh
Unroll the glass fibre reinforcing mesh and place it on the first coat of MONOLASTIC while still fresh.

One-component waterproofing cementitious mortar MONOLASTIC - 2nd coat
Apply the product with a smooth trowel.

Adhesive
Apply the adhesive using the double-buttering method with a notched trowel suitable for the type and format of the tiles so that the back of the tiles is sufficiently wetted with adhesive.

Tiles

Grout
Once the adhesive has set, carefully fill the grouts to their full depth using a rubber trowel without leaving gaps or steps.

Sealant
Seal the perimeter and expansion joints after inserting MAPEFOAM to set the correct depth.
