Application steps

Substrate

Levelling compound
Apply the product with a trowel to skim the surface and create the required slope.

Cementitious waterproofer MAPELASTIC ZERO - 1st coat
Apply the first coat of product with a notched trowel.

Floor drain
Insert the vertical drain in the water outlet pipe and press the fabric panel onto MAPELASTIC ZERO with a smooth trowel.

Glass fibre mesh
Unroll the reinforcing mesh and place it on the first layer of MAPELASTIC ZERO while still fresh.

Rubber tape
Apply the elastic tape for fillets and joints on MAPELASTIC ZERO while still fresh.

Cementitious waterproofer MAPELASTIC - 2nd coat
Apply a second layer of product with a smooth trowel to cover the reinforcing mesh. The final thickness must be at least 2 mm.

Adhesive
Apply the adhesive using the double-buttering method with a notched trowel suitable for the type and format of the tiles so that the back of the tiles is sufficiently wetted with adhesive.

Tiles

Grout
Once the adhesive has set, carefully fill the grouts to their full depth using a rubber trowel without leaving gaps or steps.

Sealant
Seal all expansion and distribution joints after inserting MAPEFOAM to set the correct depth.

Sealant
Seal the perimeter and expansion joints after inserting MAPEFOAM to set the correct depth.
