Installation of ceramic tiles

Application steps

1
Cracked existing floor
2
Adhesive
Apply the adhesive with a No. 5 notched trowel to bond the membrane.
3
Uncoupling anti-fracture membrane
Place the membrane on the adhesive while still fresh and press down firmly on the surface with a float or a MAPEGUARD ROLLER.
4
Adhesive
Apply the adhesive using the double-buttering method (in straight lines parallel to the short side of the tiles). Use a trowel with sloping notches (minimum notch size 10 mm) to spread the adhesive on the substrate and a trowel with 3-4 mm square notches for the adhesive on the back of the tiles.
5
Porcelain tiles
6
Grout
Once the adhesive has set, carefully fill the grouts to their full depth using a rubber trowel without leaving gaps or steps.
7
Sealant
Seal the perimeter and expansion joints after inserting MAPEFOAM to set the correct depth.
