Application steps

Old marble tiles
The old tiles must be clean and well bonded to the base layer. Clean the surface of the existing floor with UltraCare HD Cleaner diluted 1:5 or 1:10 with water according to the amount of dirt on the floor.

Sanding old marble tiles

Adhesive
Apply the adhesive with a No. 2 Mapei trowel

Soundproofing membrane MAPESONIC CR (2 mm)
Apply MAPESONIC STRIP adhesive tape along the perimeter walls, pillars and any other element passing through the floor. Apply the soundproofing membrane by butting the sheets against one another

Adhesive
Apply the adhesive with a Mapei wood trowel.

Multilayer pre-polished wood floor

Water-based binder for grout
Seal the surface of the floor by applying the product mixed with sawdust from the same flooring material with an ULTRACOAT STEEL SPATULA.

Water-based one-component coat
Apply the primer with an ULTRACOAT ROLLER T10.

Water-based one-component polyurethane lacquer ULTRACOAT EASY PLUS (2 coats)
Finish off the surface by applying two coats of product with an ULTRACOAT ROLLER T5.

Sealant
Seal the skirting with Silwood in the same colour as the wood flooring.
