MAPESTONE DRAIN is a ready-to-use dry mortar based on cement, selected mineral binders, specific admixtures and aggregates in a predefined grain size curve.

It is used as a pervious mortar for screeds (at least 5 cm thick) for laying natural stone, porcelain tiles, terracotta and cementitious interlocking tiles in exterior.

MAPESTONE DRAIN must be used for the installation and subsequent grouting of architectural pavings subject to light traffic such as access areas to homes, hotels, parking lots subject to moderate vehicular traffic, or for pedestrian areas, as described by UNI 11714-1 - 2018 for class P7: PEDESTRIAN and LIGHT VEHICULAR TRAFFIC.

The use of MAPESTONE DRAIN is also recommended for wet areas subject to frequent rainfall and thermal shocks as it prevents the risk of lime and alkali-silicate efflorescence as well as cracking and destructive phenomena due to the succession of freeze/thaw cycles.
