MAPESHIELD CORROSION CONTROL is a 12 cm self-adhesive zinc plate that is fastened directly to the surface of concrete to provide cathodic protection for rebar and prevent corrosion, especially when the structure to be protected is located in particularly aggressive environments such as sea-facing buildings exposed to aggressive chlorides.
MAPESHIELD CORROSION CONTROL is recommended when carrying out restoration work on residential buildings and to protect rebar at the front of balcony decks in particular.
MAPESHIELD CORROSION CONTROL complies with the prescriptions of EN 12696 “Cathodic protection of steel in concrete”.
MAPESHIELD CORROSION CONTROL may be used to protect both residential buildings that do not require restoration work and for those that need to be restored.
