Mapei is one of the companies "Leaders in Diversity and Inclusion 2025" according to the analysis carried out by Statista, the company specialised in market research and business data analysis, and Il Sole 24 Ore. A recognition that rewards Mapei's commitment to creating value for its more than 12,500 people worldwide and promoting an inclusive, fair and respectful corporate culture.
The survey provides a mapping of the 275 companies that stand out in Italy for their commitment to DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) within human resources management. For over 85 years, the Mapei Group has stood out for the attention and care it dedicates to its people, constantly investing in their development, well-being and the creation of a fair and inclusive working environment.
Two evaluation criteria were used for the study. The first one, an internal validation, collected over 300,000 ratings from more than 14,000 employees through an online survey. These participants came from companies across all industrial sectors and Italian institutions with at least 250 employees. The second criterion was external and was provided by Denominator, a leading data company in the field of diversity, equity and inclusion, which assessed companies through indicators taken from company financial statements, business plans, ESG plans, sustainability reports and company websites. The analysis identified the companies with the highest scores in several areas: diversity, gender equality, age and sexual orientation, ethnic and cultural diversity and inclusion of workers with disabilities.
Diversity and inclusion were also two central themes in the recent revision of the Group's Code of Ethics, the new version of which was issued at the end of 2023: in particular, Mapei has formalised its commitment to guaranteeing, for all employees, fair professional development based exclusively on merit and professional skills, without any form of discrimination.
