Milan, the beating heart of design, is preparing to host Milano Design Week from 7th to 13th April, an unmissable event dedicated to architecture, interior design and creativity. The city becomes an open-air laboratory featuring immersive installations, small and large exhibitions, events, presentations, talks and parties. An opportunity that Mapei cannot miss. The Italian company, world leader in the production of chemical products for the building industry, is excited to share its expertise and solutions again this year through two exclusive projects designed by prestigious Italian architecture studios.
A labyrinthine journey through matter and nature at the INTERNI CRE-ACTION exhibition-event
In the evocative Courtyard of Honour of the University of Milan, Mapei took part in the exhibition-event organised by INTERNI entitled Cre-Action, open to the public from 7th to 17th April. With the support and products of Mapei, the installation Magma. Alle origini della creatività was created, designed by One Works and Whitby Wood studio in collaboration with Atlas Concorde. The fire-red colour of Mapei's universal paint protects and decorates the walls of the installation, which reflects the theme chosen by Interni for this year's edition: the interaction between creativity and action, highlighting the fundamental role of design in transforming spaces and everyday life. Together with the paints, Mapei also supplies adhesives and grouts for Atlas Concorde ceramic surfaces.
A creative hub with Elledecor.it for interviews and meetings between culture and lifestyle
In the historic Casa Ortelli in Via Rossini, in the heart of Milan, Mapei is taking part in the Elledecor.it Takeover project. Here the showroom designed by Slalom Acoustics is transformed to host the Elle Decor Italia Digital editorial team during the Milan Design Week, becoming a real television studio for Interviews with Design, a rich programme of interviews and meetings with the key figures of the Salone del Mobile, where design, culture and lifestyle meet. The dynamic set, designed by architect Davide Fabio Colaci, is inspired by the iconic television programmes of the 1960s and 1970s and is created using Mapei water-based paints, synonymous with quality and innovation, thus contributing to making this creative hub unique.
For years Mapei has taken part in Milan Design Week, offering its innovative solutions combining quality, durability and functionality. Once again it stands alongside architects and designers of national and international fame, becoming an integral part of an event that celebrates the creativity and evolution of contemporary design in the city where it was born and has grown.
