Everything is ready for the 39th edition of the Re Stelvio Mapei. The sports event, which has seen Mapei collaborate with U.S. Bormiese since 2005, will offer cycling and running enthusiasts the opportunity to put themselves to the test on the historic climb from Bormio to the Stelvio Pass.
On Sunday 14 July at 8.50 a.m., the non-competitive cycling rally for pedal-assisted bicycles will start. This will be followed by all the other events: the 21-kilometre half-marathon reserved for Fidal members or propaganda Bodies, the running event open to all, the women's and men's competitive cycling races reserved for F.C.I. and Consulta Bodies members, and the Mapei Memorial Aldo Sassi cycle rally for members and non-members alike. The maximum number of entries is set at 3,000 participants.
The Re Stelvio Mapei is more than just a race. It is a day of sport, nature and celebration of the shared passion for cycling and running. It is an event that every year attracts athletes and enthusiasts from all over the world to Bormio, ready to challenge themselves on a 21-kilometre route with an altitude difference of 1,533 meters, immersed in one of the most spectacular landscapes in the Alps. Moreover, it fully represents the values that Mapei shares with athletes: passion, hard work, commitment and teamwork.
The Re Stelvio Mapei is also an opportunity to confirm Mapei's passion for the world of cycling, a commitment that has been going on for over 30 years and which will see the Milanese company once again as UCI's Main Partner in the World Road Cycling Championships to be held from 21 to 29 September in Zurich, Switzerland.
