Planitop Smooth&Repair Zero has been improved and now has a new formulation to meet the needs of professionals from the sector. The rapid-setting thixotropic mortar by Mapei is suitable for repairing and skimming the surface of concrete, such as beams, pillars, floor slabs, balconies, façades and cornices, and is also available in a class R4 structural version.

Thanks to the work carried out by the Mapei Research Laboratories, Planitop Smooth&Repair Zero now has an innovative formula that has improved the consistency and adhesion of the product during application and makes it easier to build up at high thicknesses.

Giulio Morandini, director of Mapei building line, stated: “We started by listening to the market's demands and putting installers at the centre to offer them an even more efficient Planitop Smooth&Repair capable of facilitating their work, even in the class R4 structural version. We wanted the product to be more workable able to adhere perfectly to the substrate and ensure rapid-setting properties and, at the same time, leaving enough time for its application”.

Planitop Smooth&Repair Zero and Planitop Smooth&Repair R4 Zero are sustainable solutions, as CO₂ emissions are fully offset for the entire life cycle of the products¹, and highly durable: the mortars ensure high resistance to cracking, including when subject to dynamic loads induced during normal service conditions., as shown during fatigue tests carried out on the products.
