To mark the occasion of this year’s Cersaie, Mapei extends the UltraCare range dedicated to protecting, maintaining and caring for surfaces with the introduction of 2 cleaners and 2 protective treatments to provide installation companies with a safer work experience and long-lasting results.
With these new products the product line, presented at CERSAIE 2021, will now have 25 products divided into three distinct categories (cleaners, protectors and complementary products). The latest stage of a journey aimed at offering the sector specific products with the highest quality, durability and sustainability.
The new products:
- UltraCare Rust Remover ready to use cleaner for removing rust stains from surfaces, including the most delicate ones and those sensitive to acids..
- UltraCare Stain Remover recommended for removing all types of organic stains. Supplied ready to use and quick-acting.
- UltraCare Rain Protector S (solvent-based) and W (water-based) are water-repellent protective and consolidating treatments (with a very high contact angle) recommended for the temporary protection of surfaces against infiltrations. The water-based version has obtained EC 1 PLUS certification, the highest awarded by the GEV institute, which certifies that a product complies with the most severe environmental and hygiene requirements regarding emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOC).
Mapei further confirms its commitment to an increasingly sustainable building industry with the addition of seven products to the UltraCare Zero collection: a line of iconic solutions with CO2 emissions calculated throughout their entire life-cycle and then 100% offset through the acquisition of certified environmental credits in favour of renewable energy and reforestation projects.
The initiative was launched on the Italian market and, as sustainability is a global issue, it was quickly rolled out to all our subsidiaries around the world, in line with the vision of internalisation that has always been a cornerstone of Mapei’s strategy.
The new line will be produced in Mapei’s Italian facility in Mediglia (Milan), Mapei Group’s main manufacturing plant, for the entire global market, apart from North America.
