Mapei at Marmomac 2021

Mapei is taking part at Marmomac, the international trade fair for the stone manufacturing sector to be held in Verona from 29th September to 2nd October (Hall 7, Stand E2), proposing numerous solutions for installing stone and creating decorative paving.

To grout decorative stone paving that has to withstand heavy traffic Mapei is proposing MAPESTONE PFS 2 FLEX, a pre-blended mortar with low modulus of elasticity and a pull-off value three times higher than traditional grout, properties that give it the capacity to dampen and relieve stresses and loads from passing vehicles and increase the performance properties of grouts, which play a key role in ensuring the durability of paving.
And to redevelop or upgrade stone paving, including paving of historical interest, the cement-free MAPESTONE CALCIX system is perfect for those areas used by pedestrians and light vehicles. The system comprises two pre-blended mortars, one for installation (MAPESTONE TFB CALCIX) and one for grouting (MAPESTONE PFS CALCIX), both made from natural hydraulic lime (NHL), Pozzolan-reaction inorganic materials and specific additives.

Mapei’s collaboration with UNI (the Italian Standards Organisation): during the trade fair there will be an information area on the Mapei stand dedicated to the standard UNI 11714-1, which contains instructions on the correct design, installation and maintenance of stone coverings and paving. And for those who want to find out which are the most suitable products for their particular project, the Mapei website contains a handy Guide on the design of decorative stone paving according to UNI 11714-1.
