After last year’s enforced stop, from 27th September to 1st October Mapei is back at the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings in Bologna, along with other companies representing the excellence of Made in Italy, with a preview of numerous cutting-edge solutions for the tiling installation market.

For this “recovery” edition of the exhibition, the multinational leader in chemical products for the building industry is doubling its presence. Apart from the stand of over 650 m2 in Galleria (Pavilion 25 and 26), where Mapei systems and solutions will be on display in a showroom-like setting, a new space has been added in the area dedicated to the sector of complementary products and materials for installation work (Pavilion 32, Stand A8) featuring a presentation of the latest sustainable solutions for installing and grouting ceramic tiles and natural stone.

The new grouts: power to colours
The main new feature presented by Mapei at CERSAIE 2021 is KERAPOXY EASY DESIGN epoxy grout, a mix of technology and aesthetics and the answer to the current trends in design and ceramics in the name of an increasingly sustainable building industry.
The result of constant investment in Mapei Research & Development and attention focused on the needs of the market, this new epoxy resin-based grout unites high resistance to chemicals and excellent mechanical properties with good workability. In fact, with the new formulation developed in the Mapei laboratories, it can be applied in both residential and commercial settings, as well as in swimming pools and wellbeing areas, and guarantees easy application, easy cleaning, a smooth finish and colours that remain stable over time.
Its aesthetic appeal is also exceptional: thanks to a range of 40 colours and a neutral, translucent version, an infinite array of colour combinations and light effects can be obtained on all types of surface, from sparkling silver and gold when used in combination with MAPEGLITTER to a metallic effect if united with the new MAPECOLOR METALLIC, pearlescent powdered mica pigments available in platinum, gold, copper, silver and dark silver.
KERAPOXY EASY DESIGN also guarantees more comfort and wellbeing in our homes. Totally non-absorbent, it is resistant to the formation of microorganisms and bacteriostatic. 
Also featuring is ULTRACOLOR PLUS, Mapei’s jewel in the crown of cementitious grouting mortars for tiles, with the first ever preview at an exhibition of the 12 new shades that will be joining the product’s already extensive range of colours. While maintaining its renowned high performance characteristics, ease of application, resistance to abrasion, high colour stability and very low water absorption, ULTRACOLOR PLUS indulges the latest trends in the colour nuances of ceramics.

To help designers and end clients choose the best match with tiles, Mapei has created the Mapei Grouts app, available for both Android and iOS. 
Starting from a photo of the tiles to be installed, it is possible to simulate the final result and how they combine with the grout, choosing the most suitable colour. The app also allows you to calculate the amount you need for the job and the best product.

The latest products for tilers and sector operators
This important showcase with an international calling is also the ideal occasion for Mapei to present its new ULTRACARE line of solutions for cleaning, maintaining and protecting surfaces, innovative systems to level floors to perfection (MAPELEVEL EASYWDG / MAPELEVEL EASY), height-adjustable supports for raised flooring (MAPELEVEL PEDESTAL) and the new multi-purpose panel used as a support surface for ceramic tiles (MAPEGUARD BOARD) to create room dividers and wall linings for interior furnishings. Also on display will be waterproofing and anti-fracture membranes used in the installation of tiles in combination with the new formulations for lightweight adhesives (ULTRALITE FLEX).
