Mapelastic AquaDefense performs double duty by first providing a continuous barrier that protects adjacent rooms or floors below from potential water migration through grout joints or porous stone.  Secondly, industrial-strength Mapelastic AquaDefense prevents in-plane cracks upto 1/8” (3mm) thick from transmitting through tile or stone.

This user-friendly, ultra-versatile membrane is easily applied to flat, curved and irregular floors, walls and ceilings with a roller or brush.  Mapelastic AquaDefense offers tenacious bond to the variety of substrates including fully cured concrete, cement block and brick, masonry walls, cured cement mortar beds, cement backer units, exterior-grade plywood and gypsum wallboard, as well as spot bonding to common plumbing materials like stainless steel, copper and brass.
