Renovation of the Gdańsk Główny Railway Station

Modernizacja zabytkowego Dworca Gdańsk Główny – najbardziej rozpoznawalnego dworca kolejowego w Polsce - to największa inwestycja w ramach Programu Inwestycji Dworcowych na lata 2016-2023. Gmach dworca z charakterystyczną, 51-metrową wieżą wybudowano w modnym na przełomie XIX i XX stulecia stylu neorenesansowym, w którym wzniesiono wówczas nad Motławą wiele gmachów użyteczności publicznej. Ich charakterystyczną cechą były ceglane elewacje przyozdobione detalami z piaskowca. Ze względu na problemy konstrukcyjne w latach 60. brano nawet pod uwagę zburzenie całego zespołu dworcowego. W 2019 roku zapadła decyzja o jego generalnym remoncie. MAPEI swoją aktywności na przebudowie Dworca Głównego w Gdańsku rozpoczęło w lipcu 2020 roku. W związku z problemami związanymi z infiltracją wody do podziemnych części budynku oraz z renowacją murów z cegły eksperci MAPEI zaproponowali kompleksowy koncept wykonania prac hydroizolacyjnych, naprawczych i renowacyjnych.
