The Nordlyskatedral (The Northern Lights Cathedral) in Alta, northern Norway is a newly built cathedral. With this building, Alta finally has its own architectural display window and the entire city and northern Norway has become one attraction richer. The building has demanding concrete structures. Most noteably a 220 meter long spiral wall starting at ground Level and rising high up in the sky. It also has different radiuses all along. Mapei has delivered Ultrabond Eco S955 1K for the flooring done in the church. The flooring is a special kind of parquet flooring. 9000 litres Dynamon SX-N was also delievered for the prefabricated concrete parts of the building. |
