Filtrate reducing polymer for mechanized tunnelling and drilling
Where to use Mapepack P is a polymer in powder form which has to be dispersed in water before being used. The concentration of Mapepack P in water can vary, thus obtaining a different fluid which can be used with different soil conditions. For this reason, Mapepack P is particularly suitable to be used with soils which are subject to geological and geotechnical variations. After applying Mapepack P wait at least 30 minutes before getting representative indications about the level of the filtrate which is obtained. It is suggested to apply Mapepack P through a peristaltic pump. The tools and the pumps used for the application of Mapepack P can be cleaned simply by water.
Consumption The dosage can vary depending on the type of bentonite, the mud ageing as well as on the wished value of the filtrate and the soil conditions. Our R&D department as well as our laboratory are available to evaluate the optimal dosage of Mapepack P according to the local soil characteristics.
