Being a pioneer in the tunnel industry, Mapei was invited to be one of the speakers for the technical seminar – “New Advances in Construction Technologies and Materials”. The half-day seminar was held by the Hong Kong branch of The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining and supported by Hong Kong Tunnelling Society and Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering) on 17th March 2018.
Over 180 engineers and professionals from the industry attended the seminar at Hong Kong Polytechnic University campus. Our UTT managers, Mr. Richard Schulkins and Mr. Stuart Watt shared the Tunnelling experience with focus on the ground conditioning techniques that can be employed in unusual situations such as ground conditioning in methane-bearing starta.
