Technical Service Apprentice

Job description

Mapei (UK) Ltd is seeking to recruit for an additional position within our Technical Service Department.

The main role will be to ensure all technical service duties are carried out as required. The position allows for the suitable candidate to grow in their understanding of construction chemicals and the sector of construction industry they are used in.

This position will be based at our Academy site, Halesowen and the applicants must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers and have an aptitude for absorbing product and customer knowledge. A desire and passion to help support and contribute to the growth themselves and the organisation is essential, along with the ability to simultaneously support the other building categories, as and when required. Travelling may be required to support and carry out technical duties.

We are looking for a self-driven, outgoing, technically minded and highly motivated person with a positive outlook and pro- active approach to tasks at hand. Reliable, flexible, and trustworthy. Must be well presented and be a strong team player.



Essential:

  • Be undertaking a degree qualification in construction chemicals through university.
  • Effective communication skills with a confident, clear, and concise telephone manner.
  • Good writing skills and an ability to notice small details.
  • Excellent computer competency.
  • Minimum 5 GCSE’s to grade ‘C’ or equivalent to include English and Maths.

 

               


Desirable: 

  • Practical applications or materials knowledge.

Hours of work: 37.5 hours a week, 0830-1700 Monday-Friday which includes 1 hour lunch break.
