Mapei (UK) Ltd, is seeking to recruit an Apprentice within our Operations Department, in Burnley. This role is an apprenticeship scheme, and training will be provided thorough a local education provider.  This role will be based at Burnley.

The main role will be to assist the lab team, set up and run experiments, collect and prepare samples from production, and providing precise data to support scientific investigations. The position allows for the suitable candidate to grow in their understanding of construction chemicals and waterproofing products.

The applicants must have an eye for detail and carry out their workload to set procedures in a timely manner. A desire and passion to help support and contribute to the growth themselves and the organisation is essential, along with the ability to simultaneously support the other departments, as and when required.

We are looking for a self-driven, outgoing, and highly motivated person with a positive outlook and pro- active approach to tasks at hand. Reliable, flexible, and trustworthy. Must be well presented and be a strong team player. 

Desirable:

• Practical applications or materials knowledge.
• Laboratory practical skills

Hours of work: 37.5 hours a week, 0830-1700 Monday-Friday which includes 1 hour lunch break.
