Mapei introduces its UK UltraCare team

Mapei has extended its UltraCare team with a series of new appointments.  The UK team will offer an expert understanding of tile care, maintenance and material characteristics – as well as a wealth of hands-on project experience gained on-site.

Designed for professional and end-user application, Mapei UltraCare provides a complete protection and maintenance solution for all types of tile and stone, in private and commercial settings. In the UK, the UltraCare division is headed up by UltraCare Category Manager, Lisa Breakspear. The team will work closely with Mapei’s UltraCare line technical department, headed up by Enrico Geronimi, Corporate Product Manager – Grouts and UltraCare, to provide complete support for all sectors.

“We’re in a unique position with our Mapei UltraCare range,” explained Lisa Breakspear. “It’s formulated in Mapei Research Laboratories and produced by Mapei in Italy, with over 85 years’ experience of manufacturing products for construction.  Now, with a wealth of local support and knowledge ‘on the ground’ in the UK – and expert knowledge of grouts, adhesives and specialist products for tiles and stone - we can offer a complete system of Mapei products for construction, supported by industry experts at all levels.” 

Most recent appointments include Mark Ruthven, who brings many years of experience of tile and stone care and maintenance, and hands-on site experience.  Mark will work closely with Mapei UK’s Training Team & Academy - who deliver specialist Ceramic and UltraCare training courses, as well as providing support at external trade events - Sales Team and Specification division.  Mapei’s Technical Department also provides M40 specifications for projects and testing of tiles for project specification.  Shelley Johnson, from Mapei’s DIY team, also brings a raft of industry expertise and will support the division.
