Mapei receives updated certification for Mapetherm Mineral Wool

Mapei has received its updated BBA certificate 13/4977 for Mapetherm Mineral Wool External Wall Insulation System, demonstrating its commitment to safety and compliance, and further reinforcing Mapei as a quality brand within the EWI industry. 

The certification, which is issued following a review every three years, assesses thermal, fire and condensation performance, strength, stability and durability.  

Part of Mapei’s external wall insulation range, the Mapetherm Mineral Wool system comprises of dual density mineral wool fibre insulation slabs, with a reinforced basecoat and render finish. The system is designed for use on external masonry walls in domestic and non-domestic settings.  Recent applications include the Keyham Road and St Leo Place apartment building in Plymouth – a project which was Highly Commended in the 2022 INCA Awards which represent the best in External Wall Insulation.

Mapei also holds BBA Certification for its Mapetherm EPS and Mapetherm EPS PLUS EWI systems.  All EWI systems, according to the BBA, also comply with NHBC Standards 2021.
