Mapei duo gives a fast fix at Stratstone Mercedes-Benz

Lancashire Tiling Company has completed a stunning floor installation, using a Mapei fixing system at Stratstone Mercedes-Benz of Huddersfield showroom.  The floor installation forms part of a £2 million project to transform the dealership into a state-of-the-art automotive retail facility.

Stratstone’s retail transformation programme takes place across eight Mercedes-Benz sites in West Yorkshire and the West of Scotland, to create enhanced facilities for customers and employees. Special features include a new contemporary showroom space with 18-screen horizon wall, interactive vehicle configuration areas, new internal handover bays, new offices and welfare areas. External works include installation of additional high-capacity rapid chargers and updates to the façade and forecourt.

Works by Lancashire Tiling Company formed part of phase one and included installation of 1500m² of porcelain tiles.  The Mapei installation system included low VOC synthetic resin primer, Primer G; fibre-reinforced smoothing compound, Ultraplan Renovation Screed and fast-setting, one component adhesive, Rapid S1.
