Mapei is proud to support the W Programme and will be attending the W Awards – the programme’s annual awards event which will be hosted at the Brewery, in the City of London next month.
The W Programme promotes equality and diversity in architectural practice. In partnership with industry publications – The Architectural Review and The Architect’s Journal – the programme’s activities include networking and social events, mentoring sessions, survey workshops, lectures and panel discussions to encourage best practice and inspire change as a united voice. The aim of the programme is to create better and healthier working environments for everyone in architecture, fostering a culture of respect and equal opportunities.
“The W Programme provides a fabulous platform for women and non-binary people within our industry. It not only recognises achievements but also gives us inspirational role models and the opportunity to support and connect with our peers,” commented Mapei’s Head of Marketing, Sarah Ridgway.
The W Awards – formerly known as the Women in Architecture Awards – were founded in 2012. This year’s ceremony will take place at the W Lunch on Tuesday 3 May, with talks by Farshid Moussavi and Mona Hatoum, who have been awarded the Jane Drew and Ada Louise Huxtable Prizes. Winners of the Moira Gemmill and MJ Long Prizes will also be announced.
