Mapei is pleased to announce that its Mapetherm EPS External Wall Insulation System has been certified with two new BBA Certificates for use with Timber Frame and with Light Weight Steel Frame. The certifications, extension of no. 13/4977 demonstrate compliance with industry regulations and further establish Mapei as a quality name within the EWI industry.
Mapetherm EPS consists of expanded polystyrene insulating panels in white or grey for insulating buildings, and when used as a component of a full system – mechanically fixed, and with a reinforced basecoat and render finish – improves the appearance and thermal performance of any building, while conforming to the National Building Regulations and providing a lasting positive impact on the environment.
Both systems have gained BBA approval following testing to the very latest standard. Meeting the thermal requirements of the latest British Standards and provides protection against rain ingress and contribute to minimising the risk of interstitial and surface condensation.
When used as part of a full system with finishing products from the Quarzolite or Silancolor ranges, a wide range of bespoke colours can be offered from Mapei’s automatic colouring system ColorMap® to ensure all your project requirements are met.
Mapei also holds existing BBA Certification for Mapetherm EPS and for Mapetherm Mineral Wool systems.
The EWI systems, according to the BBA, also comply with NHBC Standards 2021.
