Home to Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service (TWFRS), Northumbria Police and the North East Ambulance Service, the new two-storey building was delivered by Esh Construction, working in partnership with TWFRS.
The Mapei system, including an EMICODE: EC1 Plus certified primer and levelling compound, was installed throughout the station by F Wilkinson Flooring. Hebburn Tri-Station is one of 17 community fire stations located across Tyne and Wear in the North East of England. The new carbon neutral station replaces the previous Hebburn Community Fire Station, which served its community for nearly 60 years. Compromising two buildings, the site includes staff accommodation, offices and bays for emergency vehicles, as well as a training facility to support and enhance the skills of specialist rescue, as well as rope rescue fire fighters. |
