This Webinar will cover the fundamentals of emulsion polymerization, along with a brief review of the basics of polymer chemistry. The various emulsion-polymerization techniques that are in use currently will be covered, including recipes and polymerization steps. The Webinar will focus on how to formulate a PSA for end-use applications and prepare a coater-ready emulsion formulation. Finally, the sustainability aspects of emulsion polymerization and their advantages over other adhesive technologies will be covered. The goal of the Webinar is to equip the formulator/process engineer to understand the details of emulsion polymerization for successful formulation in the laboratory.

Dr. Raj Hariharan Dr. Raj is a Sr. Group Leader with MAPEI Corporation, where he works on research, development, production and application of products for floor coverings such as adhesives, sealants and primers. Before joining MAPEI, Dr. Raj worked for Rohm and Haas/Dow Chemical. He has a Ph.D. in polymers from Baylor University, TX. Dr. Raj has authored several U.S. and international patents and published several articles in peer-reviewed journals.
