New from MAPEI: Mapefloor™ CPU/SBF Screed with Enhanced Flowability

Laval, Quebec – MAPEI Canada announces the arrival of Mapefloor CPU/SBF, a high-strength, self-leveling, cementitious polyurethane screed with enhanced flowability for industrial flooring.

"Mapefloor CPU/SBF is specifically formulated to cover industrial floors that are subject to medium to heavy traffic flow, aggressive chemicals and thermal shock where a seamless, lightly textured surface is required,” explained Shane Edwards, MAPEI Product Line Manager for Cementitious and Resin Flooring Systems in Canada.

Mapefloor CPU/SBF is designed for application with selected aggregate broadcasted into wet screed to produce a non-slip surface, and it complies with the standards applied in the food and beverage industries. With its enhanced flowability formulation, installation crews can achieve a quicker and easier application than what is offered by traditional CPU screed systems.

Due to its high mechanical strength and resistance to abrasion, Mapefloor CPU/SBF is suitable for floors subjected to heavy traffic flow, with excellent mechanical and chemical resistance to acids, basic solutions, grease, saline solutions, and hydrocarbons," Edwards added. "A quarter-inch (6 mm) thick coat of Mapefloor CPU/SBF withstands thermal shock up to 176°F (80°C).”

The multi-component Mapefloor CPU/SBF can be used in food and beverage processing plants, wet and dry processing areas, freezers/coolers, laboratories, chemical processing plants, warehouses, and storage areas. It is a neutral color and must be colored on site at the moment it is applied by adding Mapecolor™ CPU [NA], which is available in these standard colors: Oxide Red RAL 3009, Beige RAL 1001, Stone Grey RAL 7030, Agate Grey RAL 7038 and Telegrey 2 RAL 7046. All specialty colors will be ordered upon request. Mapefloor CPU/SBF replaces the former Mapefloor CPU/SB [NA] within the family of Mapefloor CPU products.
