Redesigned MAPEI Website wins big at awards ceremony

Deerfield Beach, Florida – MAPEI’s redesigned global Website (mapei.com) won the best Website award in the “Multisite” category of the Website of the Year Awards – a competition organized by Progress Sitefinity, a Web content management system (CMS) platform.

The competition, which was organized for the first time in 2011, is designed to recognize Websites developed on the Progress Sitefinity platform that offer outstanding user experience and make innovative use of functions promoted by the platform itself.

The award is divided into two stages. During the first stage, Progress Sitefinity makes nominations based on six guidelines: design, content, layout and navigation, innovation, complexity and relevance. The second phase involves public voting to select winners in the various categories.

MAPEI’s Website was rewarded for the complexity and layout of its master site in Italian and the local Websites of MAPEI Group’s subsidiary companies. Altogether, there are a grand total of 59 country sites that are translated into 62 languages and add up to about 240,000 pages – attracting 550,000 individual visitors each month.

Besides the architecture of the Website, the award was also given in recognition of the quality of MAPEI’s specific technical content for the general public, the wide range of tools developed using the platform's own features and capabilities, and the design and ease of navigation of the Website that is optimized to be intuitive and responsive.

The project for the new MAPEI Websites first began in 2017 with the relaunching of MAPEI Group’s main Website. The site was then developed and extended to cover all MAPEI Group subsidiaries; the project was completed with the launch of the final three Websites of the North American subsidiaries in May 2020.
