MAPEI Canada uses social media and other digital conversation platforms to create a space for dynamic, engaging conversations with the public about the company's news, products and solutions.
Comments about MAPEI Canada are valuable and appreciated. We wish to encourage conversations among all those interested in the company's activities.
To achieve this objective and ensure that conversations remain civil, some rules apply.
RULES OF CONDUCT
Internet users are responsible for the content they post on MAPEI Canada’s social media and must abide by the current netiquette and terms of use of each social media platform.
MAPEI Canada does not accept posted content that:
MAPEI Canada reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, to hide or delete all content that does not comply with these terms of use. In the event of significant or repeated abuse, MAPEI Canada also reserves the right to bar a subscriber temporarily or permanently from its social media.
LANGUAGE
MAPEI Canada posts its content in French and English. Questions submitted in the preferred language of the requester will be answered in that language, provided it is French or English. MAPEI Canada undertakes to answer all questions posed on its social media platforms in accordance with the provisions of the Charter of the French Language CQLR, c. C-11.
CONTENT
The content posted by MAPEI Canada on its social media covers topics of interest related to MAPEI Canada’s mission, values, products, and solutions for the building industry. Comments must be relevant and related to the content of the topics posted. They can be deleted without prior notice if MAPEI Canada deems that they interfere with the discussion that is taking place.
MAPEI Canada reserves the right to reshare public content in which Internet users have questioned its social media accounts or identified themselves in one of its facilities.
The content posted by Internet users does not represent MAPEI Canada’s point of view or official position. MAPEI Canada does not guarantee the accuracy of the content posted by others and is not responsible for the use made of its social media content, including technical advice and product application tips.
Commercial advertising, personal or commercial announcements and calls to action of any kind are prohibited and may be deleted without notice.
PUBLICATION
By posting content on MAPEI Canada’s social media or digital platforms, you grant us the free and unlimited right to use and distribute that content, for all practical purposes.
By taking part in any of these forums, you authorize MAPEI Canada to publish your comments on the Web for an indefinite period of time. It is assumed that posts will be indexed by Web search engines.
Personal Information
Internet users are responsible for their statements and verification of the accuracy of the claims they make and the information they provide. They are also responsible for protecting and respecting the privacy of others by not posting confidential or personal information.
Social media are public. Internet users fully assume the risks involved in posting confidential information on MAPEI Canada’s social media. MAPEI Canada may not be held liable for any breach of confidentiality.
Reporting
To report abuse, write to canadamarketing@mapei.com. The comment in question is not automatically deleted as soon as you report abuse. A member of MAPEI Canada’s Marketing Department will review the comment during regular business hours (8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays).
