Sopro Bauchemie, a leading manufacturer of building chemicals in Germany and part of the Mapei Group, participated in BAU 2025, the world's leading trade fair dedicated to architecture and building materials, held in Munich. With a large booth, the company presented its latest innovations in the field of solutions for tile installation, waterproofing and energy efficiency, with a special focus on sustainability.

The State Library in Passau, Germany, underwent a major renovation project (2014-2018) to modernize its historic reading room, originally part of a 17th-century Jesuit high school. The project replaced a glass dome with an innovative steel and glass roof structure and new locally-sourced limestone flooring was installed. The renovation, which emphasized sustainability, made use of a complete system by Mapei for the installation of stone.
