The project included a fitting of a new wooden flooring. The client requested a unique look for the timber. Given the high spec of the project, a complete installation system that is low on VOC was required. Mapei products were involved to ensure the right adhesive was used to lay a custom-made parquetry product.

Application	The job required the subfloor moisture barriers, primers and levelling, followed by flexible timber adhesive. Mapei Ultra-fast hardening self-levelling smoothing compound ULTRAPLAN ECO was used for the interior levelling of the new substrates. ECO PRIM T PLUS primer was used for treating absorbent and non-absorbent substrates before applying levelling compounds. This primer was specifically requested because of its very low emission of volatile organic compounds. MAPEPROOF 1K TURBO moisture curing and rapid drying polyurethane surface membrane were used to waterproof and create a moisture vapour barrier under the flooring. ULTRABOND ECO S955 1K adhesive was used to bond parquetry floors.
